"The assistant only applies codes you list here or that the shopper types. It never invents or lists codes."

## Your codes [#codes]

In **Catalog → Discount codes**, add the codes the assistant may use:

| Field | Notes |
| ------------------ | ---------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Code | 1–64 characters (no spaces on Shopify) |
| Description | ≤ 200 characters; what the code gives |
| Conditions | ≤ 300 characters, for example "orders over 500 kr." |
| Public | May be offered proactively; otherwise only applied when relevant |
| Valid from / until | Outside the window, the code isn't used |

The code must also exist in your platform; ShopAssist doesn't create discounts.

## Shopper-typed codes [#shopper-codes]

With **Allow shopper codes**, the assistant can apply a code the shopper types in the chat (up to 5 per conversation and 10 per day per session). It never confirms whether a guessed code exists.
