# Accessibility

Since 28 June 2025 the European Accessibility Act (EAA) applies to consumer e-commerce services. The chat widget is part of your service. Microenterprises (fewer than 10 staff and at most €2 million turnover or balance sheet) are exempt; other merchants need an accessible widget and must describe their service's accessibility.

Add this to the accessibility information on your store (EAA Annex V). Replace the placeholders in brackets.

> Our online shop offers an AI shopping assistant (ShopAssist). The chat can be used with a keyboard and screen readers, works when zoomed to 400 % and on small screens, respects reduced-motion and high-contrast settings, and does not rely on colour alone. Messages from the assistant are announced to screen readers and are always labelled as AI-generated. You can ask for a person at any time. If you have difficulty using the chat, contact us at \[your contact email] or \[phone]. The chat follows WCAG 2.2 level AA; known limitations are listed at [https://shopassist.coec.dk/accessibility](https://shopassist.coec.dk/accessibility).
