# Data export and switching

> Export all your ShopAssist data at any time and switch to another provider without fees, as the EU Data Act requires.

You can export your data and leave at any time. There are no exit or switching fees.

## Full export [#export]

Owners request a full export under **Organization → Settings → Export data**, for the whole organization or one store. It contains, as JSON and CSV:

* store settings, persona, guardrails and widget configuration;
* knowledge base documents and FAQs;
* conversations and messages (AI messages marked);
* leads with consent records;
* analytics.

The download link is emailed to you and valid for 7 days. Exports stay available even while an account is suspended.

## Switching [#switching]

1. Export your data.
2. Cancel your plan ([cancelling](/docs/billing/cancelling)).
3. Uninstall the plugin or disconnect the store. Data is deleted after 30 days; you can reconnect within that period.
