# Plugins

> The ShopAssist plugins for Magento 2, WooCommerce and PrestaShop, their versions, update policy and what their requests look like.

ShopAssist connects to Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce, WooCommerce and PrestaShop through a plugin you install in your store. Shopify uses the ShopAssist app from the Shopify App Store, and other stores use the [Generic connector](/docs/install/generic).

If you found this page through a `ShopAssist-Plugin/…` User-Agent in your logs: these requests come from the ShopAssist plugin installed in that store, reporting catalog changes and orders to ShopAssist.

## Requests [#requests]

* From your store to ShopAssist: `User-Agent: ShopAssist-Plugin/<version> (<platform>/<platform version>; PHP/<php version>; +https://shopassist.coec.dk/docs/plugins)`, sent to `https://api.shopassist.coec.dk/v1/connectors/…`. Every request is signed with the store's connector secret.
* From ShopAssist to your store: signed requests from our [egress IPs](/docs/security/egress-ips) with the User-Agent `ShopAssist-Connector/1.0`.

The plugins make no outbound call before you click **Connect**, and send no shopper personal data with orders (only order number, lines, total and the conversation reference).

## Update policy [#updates]

* Plugins follow semantic versioning. Patch and minor updates are backwards compatible.
* ShopAssist supports the current and the previous plugin protocol version, so you have time to update.
* Security fixes are released as patch versions and announced in the [changelog](/changelog). The dashboard shows a warning when your plugin is outdated.
* Update with your platform's usual mechanism: `composer update coec/module-shopassist` (Magento), WordPress updates (WooCommerce) or uploading the new ZIP (PrestaShop).
