# Shopify staff

> How Shopify staff accounts get into the ShopAssist app inside Shopify admin and how to link a standalone account.

Inside Shopify admin, ShopAssist uses Shopify's own sign-in: any staff member with access to the app opens it without a separate ShopAssist password.

* The first staff member to open the app sets up the store and becomes its owner in ShopAssist.
* Other staff members are added as members when they first open the app. Change their role under **Settings → Members**.
* Removing a staff member's app access in Shopify ends their access to the embedded app.

## Using the standalone dashboard [#standalone]

Some features (for example the live inbox on a second screen, organization analytics or agencies managing several platforms) are easier in the standalone dashboard at `shopassist.coec.dk/app`. Use **Link to a ShopAssist account** in the embedded app to claim the store into a standalone organization. Billing stays with Shopify.
