Widget not showing
Find out why the chat launcher does not appear on your storefront and fix it.
Open your storefront in a private window (so no old session interferes) and work through these checks in order. The dashboard's Overview shows most of them as health warnings.
The widget is not enabled
Under Widget → Appearance, Enable widget must be on and your changes published. Drafts are visible only in the preview.
The DPA is not accepted
Until an owner accepts the Data Processing Agreement, the live widget stays off (health warning legal_acceptance_required). See DPA.
The email address is not verified
The live widget turns on once the owner's email address is verified. Check your inbox for the verification email or resend it from the banner.
Display rules hide it
Display rules may hide the launcher on some pages, devices or countries. Check them against the page you are testing.
The script is missing
- Shopify: the ShopAssist app embed must be switched on in Online Store → Themes → Customize → App embeds, and saved.
- Magento, WooCommerce, PrestaShop: the plugin injects the script once connected. Clear full-page caches (Varnish, LiteSpeed, WP Rocket, PrestaShop's cache) after connecting.
- Generic: the script tag from Widget → Install must be on the page, right before
</body>.
View the page source and search for cdn.shopassist.coec.dk. If it is missing, the script is not installed on that page.
The domain is not allowed
The widget only runs on your store's allowed domains. If you use another domain (a staging site, a second market domain), add it under Settings → Allowed domains. In the browser console, a blocked domain shows origin_not_allowed.
The Content Security Policy blocks it
If your site sends a Content-Security-Policy header, it must allow ShopAssist; see CSP errors.
The store is paused or suspended
Deactivating the plugin pauses the store and hides the widget. Reactivate the plugin, or check the store status in the dashboard.
Still not showing
In the browser console, run:
ShopAssist.ready.then((r) => console.log(r.status))active means the widget runs, hidden means display rules hide it, disabled means the store is not serving (see the checks above), and error means it could not load. Send the result and the page URL to support.
