Lead capture and consent
Collect emails and newsletter sign-ups in the chat with explicit, versioned consent and double opt-in, and sync them to your platform.
The assistant can offer a short form for contact requests and newsletter sign-ups. Lead capture is included on every plan.
The form
- Contact request: the shopper leaves an email (and optionally a name) so your team can reply. You get an email with the request.
- Newsletter: an unticked checkbox with your consent text. The form also works without ticking it.
Every sign-up stores the exact consent text and version the shopper saw, the time and the source.
Consent text
Edit the newsletter text per language in Orders & actions → Lead capture (≤ 600 characters). It must say how to unsubscribe (consent_text_lint) and should link your privacy policy with the {privacy_link} placeholder. Changing the text creates a new version; existing consents keep the text they agreed to.
Double opt-in
Newsletter sign-ups always get a confirmation email. Only a confirmed sign-up counts as subscribed; unconfirmed ones are deleted after 30 days. Confirmation links open a page on shopassist.coec.dk in the shopper's language.
Platform sync
- Shopify: Synced to customers — Lead capture needs the optional write_customers permission.
- Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce: No
- WooCommerce: No
- PrestaShop: Newsletter flag
- Any store (Generic: script tag, Push API, feeds): No
- Shopify: confirmed subscribers are synced to customers with email marketing consent (needs the
write_customerspermission). - PrestaShop: confirmed signed-in customers are opted in to the newsletter.
- Other platforms: use the
lead.confirmedwebhook or the leads API.
Unsubscribe links in every newsletter go through ShopAssist, so unsubscribes are recorded and synced too.
