ShopAssistShopAssist home

"Is it in stock at the Copenhagen store?" Answered.

ShopAssist shows stock per physical store with an "as of" time, plus addresses, map links and opening hours, so shoppers know where to go before they leave home.

The problem

Shoppers who want to see or try a product in person call your stores or give up. Online stock totals do not tell them which shop has their size.

How it works

  1. The shopper names a product and a place

"Size 42 in Copenhagen", "nearest store with the blue one" or "which shop is open now".

  2. Stock per location

The assistant looks up stock for each of your visible locations and shows availability with an "as of" time.

  3. Store details

Address, map link, today's opening hours and whether the store is open now.

You choose which locations are visible and how stock is disclosed: exact numbers, "low stock" levels or in stock and out of stock only.

On your platform

Stock per location needs a source. This is where it comes from on each platform:

  • Shopify: Yes
  • Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce: Yes — Needs coec/module-shopassist-inventory and Magento MSI with at least one enabled source.
  • WooCommerce: Yes — Needs Stock Locations for WooCommerce, a meta-key mapping, or a CSV/feed import.
  • PrestaShop: Yes — Needs a module implementing the actionShopAssistLocationStock hook, or an inventory feed.
  • Any store (Generic: script tag, Push API, feeds): Yes — Needs a local inventory feed or inventory batches
  • Shopify: native
  • Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce: Magento MSI
  • WooCommerce: stock-locations plugin
  • PrestaShop: module hook or feed
  • Any store (Generic: script tag, Push API, feeds): feed or Push API

Opening hours:

  • Shopify: Shopify metafield
  • Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce: No
  • WooCommerce: Set in the dashboard
  • PrestaShop: platform
  • Any store (Generic: script tag, Push API, feeds): platform

Frequently asked questions

What if my platform has no per-store stock?

The assistant says it does not know rather than guessing. You can add a data source, such as a stock-locations plugin, a location-stock feed or a CSV import, depending on the platform.

Where do opening hours come from?

You edit them in the dashboard on every platform. Where the platform stores hours, such as PrestaShop stores or a Shopify metafield, we pre-fill them.

Is the stock number live?

Stock is synced from your store and shown with the time it was last updated, so shoppers see how current it is.
