What it does on WooCommerce

Answers product questions for simple and variable products.
Shows stock per location with a stock-locations plugin, meta mapping or a CSV import. Without a source, the assistant says it does not know.
Tracks orders for signed-in customers and cancels unpaid orders directly or sends a request for paid ones.

Synced: your catalog, stock and store pages and policies, so the assistant can answer quickly.
Fetched live: orders, only for shoppers who are signed in or verified.
Stored: in the EU (Germany), encrypted at rest.
After you disconnect: your store's data is deleted within 30 days.

Needs Stock Locations for WooCommerce, a meta-key mapping, or a CSV/feed import.
WooCommerce 10.0+ checkout links replace the cart; older versions support single products.
Direct cancellation only for unpaid orders with an offline payment method.

Typical setup: About 5 minutes

1.Install the plugin
In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New, search for ShopAssist, then install and activate it. The plugin makes no outbound call before you connect.
2.Connect your store
Open WooCommerce → ShopAssist and click Connect. You are sent to ShopAssist to confirm the connection and then back to WordPress. You can also paste a pairing code from the dashboard.
3.Switch on the widget
After the first sync, switch on the widget in the plugin settings or in the ShopAssist dashboard. On multisite, connect each subsite separately.

Is it compatible with HPOS and the block checkout?

Yes. The plugin supports high-performance order storage and both the block and classic checkout.

Will caching plugins break the chat?

No. Customer identity is fetched after the page loads through a WooCommerce AJAX endpoint that is never cached.

Does the plugin contact your servers before I connect it?

No. It makes no outbound call until you click Connect.

How are signed-in customers matched to orders?

By customer id. WooCommerce does not verify account emails, so orders are matched only by the customer account.
